Founder and Managing Partner of Faberstone, Investment Company


Marco Pennisi was in charge for an International Private Equity fund in Italy and now is running his own investment company (Faberstone), which owns Project Artu' and a food company. Faberstone was established in 2011 to manage the spin-off of the Italian portfolio of Barclays Private Equity. Marco Pennisi joined Barclays Private Equity in 2001, becoming Director in 2004 and Head of Italy in 2010. Responsible for searching, recommending and completing new investment opportunities in MBO, MBI and development capital transactions. Follow up of the completed investments and management of potential exits. Board member of all the Italian portfolio companies; board member of Barclays Private Equity Spa, which was the advisory company for the funds in Italy. Member of the European team taking care of the last two successful fundraising closed in February 2005 as for the BPEEF II (€1.65 billion) and in September 2007 as for BPEEF III (€2.50 billion). He finalised 24 deals of investments and exits with a cumulated value of around €320mil. Before Barclays Private Equity, he was in the M&A team of JPMorgan and in the Transaction Services team in Ernst & Young. He is graduated cum laude in Economics at the Turin University
